Third GreenS Roundtable: “Identifying synergies to advance in GPP at the institutional level” (Sevilla, 17 january, 2017)
On 17 january 2017 the third GreenS Roundtable was held in Seville, with the participation of technical staff from several provincial governments and public agencies in Andalusia which are at the moment working on issues related to energy and GPP, by means of european projects.
The aim of this roundtable was to search for synergies of collaboration with other european projects similar to GreenS being at present developed in our territory, so as to be able to identify and channel the potential complementarities between these projects likely to be integrated in both GreenS project and the rest of projects, which could hopefully result in added value and optimization of results.
During this roundtable, attendees presented the projects their organisations are developing in the field of sustainable energy and GPP, all of them partly financed by the EC. This was the case of SIMPLA project, in which the `provincial government of Huelva takes part a s a partner, aiming at supporting local governments to harmonize and coordinate their SEAPs (Sustainable Energy Action Plans) and SUMPs (Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans) in their implementation.
EMPOWERING 2020 project was also presented by the Andalusian Agency of Environment and Water, with the aim of improving LAs’capacities, skills and abilities in the elaboration of SEAPs and SECAPs, by getting in contact with different stakeholders in the field of planning and support them in the development of joint solutions and search for financial instruments for the development of these Plans.
The Andalusian Energy Agency presented their PROBIS Project, aiming at Supporting Public procurement of Building Innovative Solutions, through which the partnership wants to strengthen those technologically innovative public tenders aimed at the improvement and higher efficiency of energy in public buildings.
Finally, after the presentation of GreenS Project, all the participants shared their views about the opportunities and possible synergies derived from the complementarities among the projects presented. The meeting concluded with the commitmment of the participants to keep on working for the improvement of energy policies and GPP both in the frame of their projects and the Andalusian Network of GPP, created as a result of GreenS’ implementation in Andalucía.
