The working group for Green Public Procurement support holds a meeting at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the Republic of Latvia

This November 2, a meeting of the working group for Green Public Procurement (GPP) support took place at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Developmen of the Republic of Latviat, during which the news regarding a successful implementation of the GPP.

86_1280The aim of this meeting was to discuss the rules of public law project that will indicate spheres of which municipalities have to use GPP.

During the meeting, the present experts also were introduced with the EU project GreenS and its benefits, which received appraisal from the experts.

Taking the significant proportion of construction-related procurement into account, a construction expert also was invited, who introduced the others with the application of GPP requirements to purchases concerning construction.

The meeting was chaired by Ms Alda Ozola, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development for questions regarding environmental protection.
