Seventh GreenS Roundtable: Rethinking our regional GPP network (13th March 2018)
This last roundtable was devoted to rethinking the regional GPP network created in the frame of Greens project. Among the attendees, there was a representation of eight organizations adhered to this network (municipalities, provincial governments and one association representing women entrepreneurs in the field of environment).
On the ocassion of the recent adhesion of this regional GPP network to the project SPP Regions http://sppregions.eu/about-spp-regions/, which promotes the creation and enlargement of european regional and local networks working in favor of the consolidation of GPP and IPP processes, we considered necessary to celebrate this roundatble in order to present the members of the network the implementation plan committed to be carried out along one year’s period, as well to decide jointly what do we intend this network to be once GreenS project is ended.
After presenting the attendees the state-of-the-art of the project in terms of results and progresses achieved in the territory, an expert from ECO-INSTITUT Barcelona, one of the organizations taking part in the SPP Regions Project, took the floor to explain the benefits to belong to a network of public administrations and companies working together for the promotion of GPP.
Then, a copy of RACPS Implementation Plan was delivered to each participant, who were encouraged to express their views on which other issues could be handled within the network. This way, the network’s promoters (FAMP and APEC) want to offer the members the opportunity to contribute topics and issues to be dealt with within the network, according to their interests and concerns, as well as bring closer the providers’ needs to the administration’s demands.
